i use to play gold 4-5 times a week and was quite good but after multiple back surgeries i cant swing a club so i sold all of my golf equipment.
I'm planning on shooting guns and maybe my bow if we can fit it all in. the weather is suppose to hot, 93. if some of you have those pop up canopies it might not be a bad idea to bring them as shade trees are few from what i saw there. h.h.

If I were able to attend; I'd bring along my Remington M-722 chambered for the .458 X 2" AMERICAN. Also bringing some ammo like 350 grain and 400 grain loads. They're REAL KICKERS!! ;D NO recoil pad on this rifle!

Bringing ol' reliable... grandfather's Winchester Model 12 with polychoke for trap/skeet, AR-15 .223, and my son's bringing his Mossberg 835 and Ruger 10/22...
If there's enough folks there with black rifles and M14's/M1's, maybe we can do a military round with no scopes, and a general round for any rifle, any sights... profile targets at 100 yds...

I'm still not sure exactly what I'm bringing. If I can find some ammo I will bring my M1 Carbine, if not I will bring a Rashid in 7.62 x 39 instead. I also plan on bringing my Steyr straight pull and 100 rounds or so of 8x50r for it. If I am able to get a fair number of rounds loaded for my Swiss Vetterli tomorrow then I will bring it also. Unfortunately, both my shotgun and lever-action are both safely locked in the gun safe back in Martin county where I forgot and left them when I came back to my apartment last weekend. I have approximately 150-200 rounds of good quality Russian 7.62x39 ammo and would be more than happy to donate some of it to feed singleshooter's AK in exchange for a few shots with his five-seven. Please do bring the carbine. That is another one I'd like to get someday. Back when I was in the brown boot Army it was just the non-coms and above that got the Carbines. I had to pack an M1. I bought a hundred Federal 7 1/2 shotshells, plus another fifty .44s at Walmart today. Wal-Mart had the 7.62x39 for about $15. I'm guessing there is 50 in a box? I wouldn't mind shooting the AK, but I've heard that is contagious.. I might run back down there and get some..

I will definitely be bringing it. This will be the first time I have shot it since it only arrived a couple of weeks ago from the CMP. Fortunately I was able to track down 200 rounds of surplus ammo for it today because my reloading efforts quickly ground to a halt yesterday when I stuck the second case during re-sizing. I will also be bringing my Rashid with 240 rounds of 7.62x39 and my Steyr M95 with 60 rounds of 8X50r. I would bring my Hakim but I don't want to scare any of the kiddies. ;D

Thanks Woody, but I needed some ammo anyway and stocked up today. Used up my old antique stuff early this spring in a practice session with the younger brother. Some ofthat stuff was really old and sounded different from shot to shot. The Ruger ate it up and grouped it anyway.
The kid brother's got a Remington 541T with a super trigger job, and he definitely outshot me. Switching guns, we both agreed that the trigger was the difference, so I'm looking to rework mine or have it done sometime. It's not bad the way it is, but that super-light and completely crisp trigger of his is great.
Got a couple of other types of ammo to try and see how I like them; some really cheap Federals and some subsonic hollow points, along with the full strength CCI hollow points I'm used to.
Picked up some more .38 specials for the snubby while I was there. And some more earplugs....I hear the "treefrogs" now even during the winter and in the house, don't need to make them any louder than they already are.
