Only problem right now is it's near impossible to find any primers that aren't going for an outrageously inflated price. Powder isn't easy to find in small quantities. Decent selections of .224 bullets are also about as scarce as a blue moon right now too.
Reloading is an option, but it's hard to load any ammo without all the components!

This panic buying is making it awful tough for us diehard reloaders to do any load work-up on our chosen calibers. I've never seen anything like this before, this shortage, but remember my Grandfather telling me once, that there was a BIG shortage during the Second World War. He had trouble finding shotgun shells for hunting.

The Madison Walmart has had a lot ammo disappear as fast as it comes in, particularly pistol ammo. .45, .40, 44 magnum and 9mm vanish instantly. Some rifle calibers hang around, but the cheaper .233 blows out of there and I haven't seen any 7.62 x39 in at least a month.
Who can blame people snapping up extras in the current political climate?

Walmart in Seymour had ''0'' pistol caliber ammo in stock. Bassmaster had a bit, but apparently Acme must've had a big shipment come in..maybe for the gunshow over the weekend, but they had ammo stacked as high as me for 9mm and other calibers. I was bummed that they had very little in 1911 pistols though. Only 3 Kimbers and that was about it. Really surprised they had no Glocks in! I hadn't been there in a while ,but they'd always had a bunch of Glocks in the case. None now.

Couple of weeks ago, figured out I had forgotten to order some match grade projectiles for my Evil Black Rifle, started surfing the familiar websites that I normally buy from, placed a standing Back Order for two 500 packs, after seeing when the expected re-stocking was anticipated, and within 10 days met Mr. Brown in my driveway. Several sites show out of stock, but click through for their delivery date, and see if they will allow a standing back order. You might be surprised at how much cheaper it is ordering through the Net. A friend and I are checking prices tonight, and I called a cousin who wants to go in with us, cutting down on cost sharing for shipping and HazMat. Try Midsouth, Natchessz, Pat's Reloading, PowderValley, and there is probable several more out there. Recently had 1K .223 Remington, once fired Remington cases, polished, and no crimp [commercial] delivered [shipping included] for $81 bucks. Remember, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!
