Woodmaster and myself are hunting some of Timex's Illinois properties and are seeing a pretty good number of deer - some definite wall hangers.
On one piece of property we are not only seeing wallhangers but a variety of multi-colored deer.
I hunted one of the properties last evening and saw more multi-colored deer in that three hours than I have seen in my lifetime.
Before the evening was over I saw..
An almost all white doe (brown tail and some brown hairs mixed in) that looked almost gray. She had two piebald fawns with her. (3)
A yearling doe that had white all the way up her sides to about 4 inches from the top. (1)
A doe that had a white rear end similar to an Appaloosa horse (1)
An all white doe (as best I could see in the fading light). (1)
Out of 10 deer seen for the evening 6 were multi-colored.
If a "white deer" in Illinois has any brown on them at all they are legal deer. An "all white deer" is protected.

That pretty cool. Ive got a piebald fawn on my property and Ive seen it twice but not in a couple of weeks. Its safe as long it don't jump the fence as there is 4 guys on the other side that shoot any thing that comes over. h.h.

Pretty cool...I have maybe seen 3 albino deer in the last 19 years I've been hunting...Would love to get one someday...Haven't seen hardly any multi-colored deer except dead along a road...

hh i see your from huntington do you know any thing about roush lake. as in a place to hunt area that they wont be bird hunting in??? kennie, unless they have changed it all the bird hunting is done on the south side of the reservoir not to far from Markle. Any of the property on the north side will be away from the bird hunting. I haven't hunted much there in the last few years so really cant tell you the area numbers but if I remember right are 21, 22 and 15 are the bird hunting areas. I suggest you call the office and I sure they will tell you. Good luck, h.h.

That's cool. Seems like with that much "white" around there would be some antlered as well.

Woody watches deer in glorious Technicolor. I've never seen one on the hoof, only pictures.

I've never seen anything close to a piebald type deer. Best thing I've seen is a double throat patched buck lol.
