Here is hoping. This will be the first time in about 5 years that I have used my Omega. seems I always filled my buck tag prior to the MZ season. Not this year..
I do need to get out and shoot it some soon.

Muzzleloader season is what you make of it. If you hunt hard and stick it out through the (hopefully) bitter cold it can be very good hunting. The deer will settle down quite a bit over the next week and with fewer hunters in the woods harassing them they will remain fairly calm throughout the rest of the season.

Where i hunt i fully expect the muzzleloader season to be better then the firearms season. They are just now taking the corn out where i hunt. I seen a few deer opening weekend why the rut was hanging on, but since then my sightings have been very hard to come by. I'm going to the range tomorrow to sight in my new muzzy, i may try it one last time tonight or tomorrow night with the shotgun. This morning was a great morning weather wise and i just stayed in bed. I haven't seen a deer in a morning hunt now for 2 weeks. Should be a lot of deer left for muzzy season.
