Even though weather was good opening weekend of gun season, with all the corn that was still standing, I will be amazed if the harvest is above 90% of last year... plus most north midwestern states have all reported lower harvests so far...

It's in the DNR's best interest to have another record year. Record years keeps the insurance companies happy, the state lagislaters off their arse and the tag sells up. My feeling is no matter what the actual numbers are it will be another record year, much like last year.
