I was just curious if you could clarify if I am correct on this ? It is my understanding that a person (in this case a resident) of any age, can purchase up to 3 apprentice licenses in their lifetime ?
My main question is I have a 15 yr old Cousin that is interested in trying out hunting this year. I just want to make sure that he can purchase a consolidated youth apprentice license w/o taking the hunters ed course first ?
I would be taking him with me and I will have all the proper licenses as well depending on what exactly we are going to be hunting, so the consolidated apprentice license would cover him ?
I understand that with an apprentice license he MUST go with a LICENSED hunter of atleast 18 yrs of age and be within close promoximity. I just didnt know if he would have to buy all the youth apprentice licenses seperate or if he could purchase the Consolidated youth apprentice license instead, so I could take him hunting various types of game thru out the year ?
Thank you so much for your time ! I truly appreciate and respect all that you do.
Thanks again Jeremy (INDeerhunter)

There is a little confusion about the Apprentice License. Any license can be an Apprentice type license. An Apprentice Youth license is just a regular youth license that covers everything, but has the Apprentice title added to it. Your cousin will need an Apprentice Youth Consolidated License and does not have to take the Hunter Ed class to get it.
