Yes we got about 3" of snow and it feels more like deer season. Its only about a week late, although the weather didn't keep me from seeing deer, I saw several nice bucks but I guess after seeing a Big Bruiser during bow season and again during Gun season, I just Blew it. He was tailing a Hot Doe on opening Day of Gun and I got Busted by her, and it was around 3pm And i had settled into a comfy position and couldn't get drawn on him, My fault totally, I guess what I learned is they can come at anytime during the Day. I ate my tag, and Will more than likely not see him during ML season, But who knows. I never thought I would see him at 3pm after all that shooting around me in different woods... But I had probably one of my best Gun Season by far, saw several shooters, I think I just get to picking in my later years. and I think I was worried more about my Son Harvesting his 1st Buck with Bow or Gun that I let some walk. Still enjoyed the time with my Son, even though we both ate are Tags.. But I feel better days are to come, and My little piece of woods is starting to pay off, with just the knowing they are there. and getting a few on my Trailcam.

I ate my tag as well so my nephew could harvest his first buck, he green scored 152". I haven't been that excited in years at seeing a dead deer and it wasn't even mine. He shot his at 2:30 in the afternoon the buck was walking the bottom of a ditch, and working a scrape when he shot. He came by me about 5 minutes before on the same ditch and i let him go, beings he was headed to the nephew. I was worried he would change coarse before reaching him but, as luck would have it, he continued on the same trail for the 100yds. through the ditch. I already posted a pic awhile back. so, please forgive me but, i am so proud of him (my nephew) To tell you the truth, I have taken 6 bucks between 140-175" and 5 have been taken between 11am-4pm. That is why I sit in all day!
