lol ... Kind of fun watching the fat man squirm.
Under that video clip it looked like they had a quote from Rush claiming something about 18000 different local sponsors ... even if each was only given a 10 second clip it would still take 50 hours to get through all of them. I guess they would still be considered "sponsors" if they advertised only one time and not on a continual basis.
Interesting to see the spin a guy like him puts on things.

The number includes the sponsors that air during the show's three hours across the country, not just directly plugged by EIB Network. So the number is probably as high as 18,000 easily. 28 lost is not a big deal, plus he claims to have picked up some new ones because of his stance or what ever. Im sure the confirmed druggie will survive better than the alleged slut .... I hope he is emotionally ok though. I hate to see the weak minded fat man slip back into his past addictions.
Dont know that it is fair to say the alleged slut started it though ... its not like she asked the confirmed druggie to comment on her.

I have read through her testimony and cant seem to find the word "slut" anywhere. The fat man might have been ok if he had left a couple of little words out. You dont think he might be under the influence of narcotics to you?

Her comments to the committee started it. Rush doesn't make the news, he just reports it. Limbaugh is an entertainer, not a reporter. He doesn't report news, he just makes comments on it. Somewhat like Howard Stern, controversy is his bread and butter. |

So "Uncle Billys barbwire and BBQ" from Opp Alabama is possibly part of that 18000 that might advertise only on that Opp radio station. I was not thinking in those terms ... I bet he would much rather have one "Stamps.com" or "Citrix" advertising nationwide ($$) than a thousand Uncle Billys. 18000 is a ton of money though ... wow. I know what it costs to run an ad on our little podunk radio station. |

Apparently not. Radio stations pay to air the program. So far, 2 have dropped. The "loss" of sponsors is to the radio stations, actually the owners of those stations that pay Rush. Actualy as of today, 42 have dropped but several have asked back on from that number so it'll be changing daily. Mean while, the program goes on without loss of revenue except for 2. I think he will survive just fine without them. You reference his weight and drug abuse, making you as bad as Rush. Shouldn't it be past drug abuse and ex-fat man?  Are your sure the young lady wasn't a "slut" at least a few nights in her 30 years??? |

You can read back through these 3 "Rush" threads and try to find any place that I have said I was offended by what he said .... dont think you will find it anywhere. You will find where I said "I dont care that he called her a slut" as well as "he is free to say whatever he wants". I dont get my feelings hurt by words ..... at all. Quite the opposite really .... Im a big believer in finding the spot the verbal knives hurt the most and slice there. The biggest reason I choose my words wisely on this site is a "his house his rules" things with Woody. When talking about Rush I just dont like the guy. |
