If you want to see a million squirrels, just go deer hunting without taking along anything to hunt squirrels with. My son shot a fox squirrel with a .44 magnum while deer hunting last week. Made a good shot and ruined almost no meat, but not exactly an ideal weapon.
I saw the biggest, prettiest fox squirrel ever, but all I had with me was a 12ga and three inch magnum slugs. I thought about it, but decided it wasn't a good idea.

I was upset that I had to use my 10/22 because I had a brain fart when packing for the trip back to Indiana. I had my Contender 17 HMR bag with both a pistol and a rifle barrel in it and I left it sitting on my desk when I got distracted doing other things. But I do have my 17 Remington...a lot of good that does me since it doesn't have a scope on it and there wasn't a decent scope to be had at the Holt Rd armory gun show last weekend. Only saw one Nikon Prostaff that had 2 very evident and deep ring dents in one side and the guy still wanted $165...I can buy a new one for that price. I guess I will keep looking.
