Gary, I'm wondering why you went 16 sits without a deer this season when you had this outside your window. LOL. I've never saw that on a deer before. It's pretty unique looking.

Ive got a doe hangin right now with a mane and have killed several off of the same farm over the last 20 years with manes.

I've not only never encountered one, I believe that's the only picture I've seen of one. Pretty cool!

I've got two on the wall and have killed several others as has Woodmaster. This one was killed in Warrick county and Woodmaster killed a maned buck the same day in Kentucky.

my first buck I ever shot in 2003 had a mane, I'll take a picture of the mount, also had long hair on the brisket

My buck this year had a 5 or 6 inch mane that looks just like Woody's picture. I also saw one that was killed several years ago that ran the full length of the neck; sort of looked like the way some people cut mule's manes. That was the only ones I had ever seen or heard of. Guess it is not as odd as I had thought.

Here are couple pictures of "Minnie" scrounging for persimmons in my yard. I hope she survives this hunting season. I just enjoy watching her. She's now about 1.5 years old.
