Killing a deer like that is great, but sometimes a guy has to think if it's really worth it with all the nay sayers that it will surely bring out. Congratulation to this guy that took him in Hoosierland. I never doubted that Indiana held this caliber of deer even with our states so called "screwed" up management plan. Yep... www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=1895048&highlight=Indiana+Buck

Remember a few years back when it was posted on the "other site" about a supposedly "world record" typical being killed in Indiana? Did the rumors fly fast and furious then..... He was being hounded by writers, manufacturers, and "organizations" wanting stories, being allowed to use it for a scoring seminar and pictures. They hounded that poor kid so bad he finally just told them he traded the rack for a truck and an ATV..so they then left him alone after that. I understand he still has the deer...

A few quick points....
1. I've heard from several sources that the score is legit and so is the kill.
2. I'm happy for the hunter who killed it.
3. This just goes to show that there is more than one way to manage a deer herd and produce quality hunting for everyone from hard core trophy hunters to meat hunters.

Correct I did not mean to doubt the guy, I believe its legit and awesome. As for the other deer on here, I never doubted that either, too many HATERS in this world. Mad because someone else got the big buck, heck sounds like this guy was just in the right place at the right time, probably pis$es off some big buck hunters that spend countless hours and money only to have someone else shoot a bigger buck I love big bucks, but when one comes between friends or makes others so jealous they make up rumors then those type of people need not hunt in my opinion. Or when you bend and break rules to get that big buck, is it really worth it. I am anxious to get the official score and see the remarks after that. Archery Talk is full of HATERS that just can't wait to run someone else down, sad because it isn't a bad site, just some bad eggs

Well post results if and when i get.them I believe the deer is legit but this post is not believable. No B & C scorer will RESCORE a deer that was previously officially scored. Panel scoring reaffirms the original score. So, what ever score was sent to B & C by the first scorer is the official and only score.

That is a weird statement to say the least. Sure it's complicated, that's why you have to be trained and certified before you can be a scorer. This doesn't seem right that they would question one of their scorers on an open forum.

We've received the score sheet on the big Indiana buck, and are now waiting to receive a video that was shot for the scoring process. NT scoring can be complicated, so we need to make absolutely sure that the buck was scored correctly before making any kind of announcement.
To give it a sense of scale, both brow tines exceed 13" on the entry score chart.

No, not taking it wrong, taking it as it's written. When they say they want to "make absolutely sure that the buck was scored correctly", they are saying there is some doubt that the scorer did it correctly. Otherwise the score would have been accepted and reviewed by the panel at a later date. The scorer is in question here, not the deer or hunter. Also not the poster saying it was measured twice, both different. This is also unusual as is the statement from B & C.

B & C is casting doubt, not me. I said it was legit in the my first post. I always disbelieve the Internet crap until proven otherwise. I know for a fact that B & C does not allow score shopping and that no official scorer is going to submit another score sheet on a deer previously scored. Also, show a link to any other statement from B & C saying anything close to what's quoted in that statement.

When is the last time B&C was faced with a NEW #1 Non-Typical all time HUNTER KILLED DEER? I rest my case ....

Potential WR's happen fairly often. There have been several cactus bucks that potentially would have been records had they been scorable. And several typicals.
I see your FB post, so apparently you also have questions.
