No frost here however yesterday a walnut fell onto my brand new Ford Escape putting a very noticeable dent in the hood.

I was walking into my house at 3am after an exhaustingly long day at work and took time to stand out on the back porch and enjoy that cool air feeling. That got me as excited about bow season as anything else!

I put a hammock up for my wife this summer. I laid in it for a few minutes on Sunday. As I laid there looking up, swaying in the light breeze, I thought, "hmmm ... maybe one end of this thing shouldn't be attached to a walnut tree..."

The dent on my hood is right on a ridge where the hood steps down. The dent is as deep as if you hit it with a tack hammer, 3" more it would have been the windshield.

I was in the woods on Sunday afternoon and noticed some weeds had been frost bitten. The leaves were hanging limp, and some were turning black. Good riddance weeds.
