At golf league tonight I spoke with 3 different guy's who have found dead buck's within last week here in Switerland County. 5 found in Bear Branch area, 4 in East Enterprise area and 2 in Quercus Grove area. All near pond's or creek's and all had been dead for couple week's. I have yet to see any on my farm but i havn't been out that much yet. Probably get a better idea of how widwspread it is once people hit the wood's for youth season.

mother nature at its best I suppose. I have been cringing at the idea of it being here again and it was starting to really get me down. But there is not one thing we can do about it. We can manage our properties as good as we can, give supplements, establish sanctuaries, try to even out buck to doe ratios, do our best not to over pressure deer, but in the end, mother nature has the final say so. It really stinks and it really puts a damper on not only the year that it hits but the next couple years to follow as well.
