Best of luck in recovering your guns; especially that Silver Snipe!
Have no use for thieves, hopefully he gets what's coming to him.

Had it happen here about 4 years ago. Similar safe with similar results. They pried it open and took several handguns. Thankfully, they did leave all of the long guns.
As many do, we had a security system installed the following week.
I hope you get your items back.
Also, everyone needs to know that typical home insurance has a very low limit for firearms and jewelry unless you pay to cover those types of items.

Security systems being looked at today.. spring house will go on the market. our neighborhood has really fallen and its sad there are a lot of good people here but the bad eggs ruin it as always.

My insurance company basically told me to buy a safe and use it instead of adding a rider to my policy to cover everything.
I had a house fire in 2001 and lost all of my guns .... luckily my policy at the time covered everything.

While most home insurance policies do place a sub-limit on items such as firearms and jewelry, those sub-limits typically only apply if the loss is via theft. They will not apply if the loss is via any other covered peril. I know in John's situation, obviously those limits would apply if he didn't have them listed, but wanted to expand on parson's statement a little. John - hope you get your items back.

Whitetail1 is correct. I had a Winchester Supreme that was beat up pretty badly in our burglary, and our policy actually paid $600 for a stock repair/replacement, over and above the limit covered in the theft of other guns.
