Which mechanical broadhead do you like?

After this season, I'm down to 2 of the 100g HyperShock heads. So, for next year I will need to use something else. I'd like to stay with a mechanical, 100 or 125 grain. I've used the HyperShocks for 4-5 years now, and they have worked well, but they are getting harder and harder to find.

Here's the plus's and minus's of them that I've noticed.

Plus:
Fly exactly like the same weight field points
Leave a huge exit hole - 100g has a 2" cut.
Reuseable about 75% of the time.
Don't open prematurely.

Minus:
Leave a small entry hole.
If not a pass thru shot, minimal to zero blood trail, expecially on steep down angle shots. (that's my biggest complaint)

What has everybody here used and is happy with? If possible please list any things you didn't like about that particular broadhead.

I'd say 90% of the time I use 'em when hunting from a tree stand. Barnett Revolution, 320+ fps. I'll be using them for whitetails. Maybe turkey, but I've already taken one with it, and the focus is whitetails.

I have used three types:


RAGE 2-blade

plus: Accurate, Durable, reliable opening. Good Penetration produces ENORMOUS, horrifying holes.
Minus: Expensive. Blades nearly impossible to change (They may have improved this) Replacement blades expensive. This is why I haven't used them for several years.

RAGE 3-blade. Same as the two, minus the huge hole.

NAP SHOCKWAVE
plus: Accurate, durable, reliable opening. Good penetration. (I have shot several deer at very extreme angles and have had excellent penetration) Reasonable price. Costing about the same as a pack of Muzzy heads, they are not crazy expensive like the rage heads. I have never tried replacing the blades yet, but they have a screw, so it shouldn't be too bad.

Minus: marginally smaller entry hole.

I shoot a 64lb Mathews, and penetration is fine with all of these, generally resulting in a complete pass-thru.

I like how the Rage 2-blade performed with my crossbow buck this year. Pass through. Big entry hole. Good, short blood trail.

Here is the entry side...it obviously did good work. It was my first harvest with a Rage.

I like the NAP Spitfires Maxx also. Took my first buck with them, first day of season, first time hunting with a crossbow. Deer only went about twenty yards.

I like the T3s by G5 outdoors shot 2 deer with them last year both only ran 40 yards or less blood trail so heavy a blind man could of followed it.

Ive only used muzzy's, but my buddy switched to rage this year and absolutely loved them. Said he will probably never use anything else.

I used 2" 100 gr Grim Reapers this year to take an 8 pt buck & big doe. They come 3 to a package with a practice head that have the blades fixed so you can practice with the same config that you will hunt with.

I recently bought Rage Crossbow 2 blade at Meijer. They were marked down to $19.99. Couldn't pass that price up. Bought last 2 packages.
