Hey folks. So my dad won his super bowl pool and is looking for a muzzleloader. He is internet stupid so I'm doing research for him. he has used muzzleloaders for a few years now (10?) But just doesn't know much about brand quality and such. He said he's looked at a couple cva and Thompson center, but doesn't know enough to make an informed buy. Budget is 400-500 including scope. He probably won't be shooting much past 125ish yds.
Recommendations?

Blued TC Impact and a Redfield Revolution 2-7x including rings should come in under 500.

on TC Impact. I have one. I think it's hard to find a better option for the money.

He said they wanted 600 bucks for the impact. Gonna go with cva optima. Comes with a scope for 350.
Good gun? Good deal?

Boy, they have gone up since I got my TC Impact two years ago! I think I paid less than half that!

They are $250 at Sportsmans Warehouse. $600, they must be joking. Looked online at Cabelas - $270.
