Went to Eagle Creek today to pursue some crappie. They did not cooperate at all!
However, the yellow bass were quite active, so I brought a few home with me.
I've never eaten these things before, so the wife and I are anticipating a new culinary experience tomorrow.

Many people think they will taste like white bass and not eat them.(I know, some people eat white bass). But they are actually quite good. We have a ton of them in Patoka but they do not seem to ever grow big enough to keep.

I didn't particularly care for these. They are fun to catch, but I'll likely throw 'em back in the future.

Killem all, pest that will out compete other better gamefish and not grow big enough to target.
Biggest mistake stocking those critters
