drs - have you ever voted for a Democrat? Nope, I am a Conservative Republican <period>. Never voted for a Democrat, nor will I. It seems when a Democrat gets voted into power things like the economy become worse and taxes go up. Are you a Democrat???

Nope, I am a Conservative Republican <period>. Never voted for a Democrat, nor will I.[/quote] So you dont use your brain and vote for the best candidate, you vote for the "R" no matter what .... your (paraphrased) words, not mine. No, I am a Libertarian. I believe in the Constitution and not just the parts of it that I happen to like. Given the limited representation of the Libertarian party in elections, I will vote for whomever I think will do the best job of upholding the Constitution regardless of what Political party they belong to. I use my brain.

Swilk, I really take offence in your post saying "I don't use my brain". I would appreciate it if you wouldn't reply to my posts or threads. If you are going to respond as such.

drs - those were your words, not mine. That is why I earlier wrote "your (paraphrased) words not mine." Take offense with yourself, not me. You claim that you hope folks use their brain and vote for the best candidate and then you admit that you have never voted for anyone other than a Republican in your life.

I can see now you are an internet Bully! If you would please don't respond or provide an answer to my post or threads! I've received several "PM" stating that you are a troublemaker on Woody's fine forum. I AM NOT HERE TO ARGUE WITH ANYONE WITH THE LIKES OF YOU!!!

drs - how is using your own words being a bully? I thought I was being a kindler, gentler person and leaving out my personal opinions of you.

btw - I will, from now on, leave my personal opinions of you out of my posts but I will not stop posting just because you happen to be part of the thread. This is a political forum .... not daycare.

Boys... Let's play nice... I don't like to keep reminding that to people .... Woody, for the sake of not turning this fine Hunting/Shooting forum, where argument and hard feelings, between members breakout; I think we should do away with "The Political Forum" section. I am a member of other hunting & shooting forums and they prohibit politics in their forums. One is Rimfire Central, and another one is Shooters Forum. Something to consider (?)

DRS,
Most of us on here are adults and act as such. Yes, politics and religion discussions can get continuos at times, I liken it to a campfire talk where we discuss all kinds of things openly. If one doesn't want in on the discussion, fine. They Don't open up the thread or make a comment. If one does they should be prepared for rebuttal.
I can not close every forum that has disagreement as we would not have any left.

Politics is a love/hate topic for me. Words can start a fire or put one out no matter what the subject. If we show respect, we can debate anything and learn something. Oh, I have been guilty of stoking a few fires, but it's never a good thing, just self-serving. The faceless internet has spawned a culture of disrespect.
Hey, I'm actually trying to show respect to our contry's leader, and this was hard for me. "Obeyme" seemed so fitting, but disrespectful. This is just me; I'm rarely offened by any statement ...give it a try. :-)
I enjoy everyone on this site, even when they disagree with me ...which is often. :-) I'm out there on a limb with few supporters. The reason I enjoy everyone is that I can learn something and try to understand where their thoughts originate ...knowledge and understand ...a great gift indeed.
Now, just because I enjoy people doesn't mean that they don't get on my last nerve. LOL I know who I was before I surrendered my life to the will of God, and I don't like who I was. I was terrible!!! No excusses. I am proof that there's hope for everyone. I'm an open book, which exposes a lot of targets for asulting arrows; however, mostly people show me the respect that I try to give.
Dang Liberals!
