I've seen 2 over 200", but they were Mulies. One in Colorado with a guide while cow Elk hunting, one was so wide that as it stood broadside and looked at me it's one antler was even with the front of it's hind leg. That was in ND right near the Missouri River breaks on I-94. All I could think was don't walk in front of the car, but if you do I WANT that rack! I swear the rack was wider than my Jetta Wagon is wide.

Someone want to PM me their email address and I will forward some pic's of a buck I will be hunting this year that is a possible booner. I am not sure how to get from my email to this site. He is well over 150 already and still growing. He is a legit buck and possibly the biggest I have hunted. Boonechaser

Largest I've seen was an Urban Buck less than a mile from my house just last season. The deer was all of 180+ large wide 12pt. Late afternoon it was feeding with a spike buck in a harvested bean field. It was hunting season but I did not have permission to hunt the land and no homeowners were home to receive permission. I sat on the road in my truck and watched it trot 10 yards across the road in front of me. Amazing animal to be that large in a high pressure area in a semi-urban environment. Finally talking to a neighbor after this event he asked me if I hunted and knew about the legendary monster buck that roams the area. I told him my story and continue to work on permission to hunt multiple farms in the area. Luckily I own 4 acres that is in the area, now with game cameras up and fingers crossed for the upcoming season.

Thanks Met. He's got some junk that will be deduction's. Right now he is a main frame 11. Am hoping he will end up being a main frame 12. Regardless he would be my biggest if given a shot a with bow. IMO he will be in 160's plus. Time will tell ??

On the hoof, I saw one in Muscatatuck, one on the farm I hunt regularly and one at Sloughs WMA (KY) that I just feel fortunate to have been able to see. same here. one week before bow season scouting Muscatuck seen one 160+ with a 140+. by the old grave yard. in about 2005 or 06 I cant believe how close I got to'em . walking the path.

Seen one opening day of Ohio's archery season about 11-12 years ago that would push 200" non-typical. Deer was HUGE. Points going everywhere and mass you wouldn't believe. At 10 yards he busted me drawing my bow. Boonechaser, I've got a typical 10 on the wall that I took out of Versailles in 2009 that is similar to yours. It grossed 157" and yours is wider with better length. He'll definitely push booner.

Here's a question to discuss...
Look at Boonechaser's buck pics. Not that I would care if it ever walked by me, but how old do you say it is? I don't think it looks very old. I'd say 2 or 3 years old. Am I crazy?

Not crazy ..... but not correct IMO. Deer looks to be 4.5 or older to me. Ignoring headgear and just looking at the body I think he is mature.

Based on what? Straight back? Non-sagging belly? Thin shoulders and neck?
I suck at aging deer and I certainly never card any I shoot because I just don't care, but I don't see the cliche body traits of an old buck there.
What do you see that says 4 to you? Sincerely curious.

I see a sag to his belly. Overall length of deer. Girth of body.

As I said, I suck at it. I just don't see a lot of "beef" in the hams or neck. I also don't see the sag or sway back. This is why I'll stick to shooting what makes me happy and not worry how many candles I should put on their birthday cakes.

Met, owner of property says this is 3rd year he has seen him. He doesn't hunt nor does anyone hunt his farm. I'm guessing 4.5 or 5.5 and leaning towards 5.5 as he says this is third year he has seen him. Got several kicker's off his bases which I see on 3,5 yr old plus a lot. He know's I hunt so gave me the green light to go after him. I am gonna try to hunt early bow while still in summer feeding pattern. This Is Ohio River bottom ground on a creek that feeds Ohio River. I am sure once pre rut starts he will relocate to some nearby ridge's not on his farm. But he's big enough to devote some time toward's I think. Not sure how much more he will grow?? I am guessing another 15" or so in tine length and mass. I am gonna hang a couple trail cam's in mid August. If I get any good bone pic's I will let you know.

Some say the Hanson buck was only 3.5..... I have seen that 3.5 figure myself. I could be mistaken, but my understanding is that some early reports stated 3.5 years but that was later increased to 4.5 or more. Apparently a 90+ inch shed from the buck was found that would strain belief past the breaking point that a 2.5 year-old deer (at the time) could produce. The North American Whitetail article last fall celebrating the 20 year anniversary of the buck claims it was "most likely" 4.5 based on tooth wear. Maybe no one knows for sure. www.northamericanwhitetail.com/2013/11/25/20th-anniversary-milo-hansons-world-record-buck/
