Nope! I put a small pile of grain in front of my camera and a coyote decided to pee on it. 15 minutes later a doe was eating the grain.

Lol....
Sometimes the wind blowing will scare them. Other times it seems Godzilla himself wouldn't phase them. I think that is part of the appeal....a guy will never fully figure them out.

I've ran trailcams for 20 yrs. and have many hard drives of pictures and video..I have researched deer, coyote , fox and you name it over these 20 years..by trapping, bowhunting and using different lures, baits and attractants on trap sites with trail cameras monitoring, and I also have mineral sites for deer with trailcams in video mode monitoring these sites..coyotes will frequently stop at the mineral sites and " leave their mark"..one way or the other.
I will say this...some deer are very alarmed by coyote urine and some aren't...just like people, deer are individuals.. we tend to lump all deer together, as hunters, when analyzing their behaviors..that's a mistake. I've seen deer very spooked by coyote urine, and some deer don't seem to mind it. One deer will react a certain way and another may not. Some people are scared of spiders and some aren't...just like people, deer are individuals.

I used some James Valley fox urine with a "hint of deer musk" on my boots one time and this buck trailed me right to my stand.. yeah, that was some time back when Tree Bark was the go to camo and I had black hair and mustache..
