Hello all, new to the site but not to the woods. Would any deer hunters out there be interested in paying a fee to hunt municipal property in Lake and Porter counties during urban hunting (Sept. 15- Sept. 30th)? You would have to donate your "earn a buck" doe to charity. How much would a hunter be willing to pay to get a chance at a urban buck in never hunted municipal property? Let me know and I can give you more details. Happy Hunting!

Not interested. I can apply to hunt a State Park or or other public property for free. Why would I want to pay to hunt public property AND give away the prize?
BTW - urban deer season is from Sept 15 to January 31, it does not end on Sept 30.

I have a sweet deal available to hunt the Hoosier National Forest starting October 1st! PM me for pricing. I'm talking thousands of acres of prime habitat. Hurry, this won't last long!

God forbid help the hungry for a donation of venison. Not all hunters have the luxury of Hoosier National Forest in there backyard. I am talking about urban areas. That 10 acre parcel by the post office in town that hosts a huge buck. You know they do! He is there because there is no hunting pressure. I would hunt it! Especially if it only took 30 minutes to get from bed to stand because the urban property was down the road from my house in town. Just sayin!

Your fallacy is that people don't already donate venison. Maybe you have heard of the Hunters and Farmers Helping the Hungry, Hoosier Feeding the Hungry, or the Sportsman's Benevolence Fund? ...or maybe you haven't. 2) If I was going to pay for the opportunity to possibly help the needy, why wouldn't one just donate to the needy in the first place? 3) If you are going to hunt the parcel by the post office, don't cross the property line with a firearm or you may be facing federal weapons charges.

So who is getting paid to hunt this public land, exactly? You didn't get much of an answer.
