Well, our motorcycle trip culminated in our family reunion. And that turned into "Uncle Dean's Nature Show!" Not exactly planned, but the kids were having such a blast, I kept them rolling. From my youngest granddaughter who thought the gator was the coolest and cried when we turned the key off: To scaring up a few young turkeys: And then I had all the nieces and nephews crawling the forest floor hunting for some "treasures." And what did they find here? Interestingly enough, the girls couldn't get enough of the toads: In the evening and again the next morning (actually had 7 of them get up at 6 am to come with me) we spied on some fawns in the horse pasture. I was amazed at how quiet tne kids all were...maybe just waking up! Amazingly, mama doe has birthed fawns 5 years in a row in this fenced pasture. When they get old enough, they jump the fence to freedom! I must say, from gators to snakes to deer, turkey, worms, fish, beaver, swans...who knows what im forgetting...we all had a great time. Most of all, it was great to connect with dozens of my little relatives. Where do the years go?! And then my oldest grandson and I finished with him catching his biggest bass of his life so far. After catching a ton of gills, which are in the freezer now, he kept telling me, "Grandpa, pleeeeease let me try the "perch lure" my other Grandpa got me...I just know it'll catch a huge bass!!!" And a half hour later, he landed this 13 incher! Man, I've never seen him so excited. A huge memory for both of us!!!

OH what memories were made there!
Ones that will last those young ones forever.
Thanks for sharing...
