At least according to the their "know it all" in the claims department it just couldn't have been one of their cars that got stuck in my back pasture looking for a cell phone tower at 4 AM because they don't access to vehicles then.... In the meantime if my neighbor hadn't of woke up and seen some flashing lights I would still be in the dark (sorry but eating supper at 9:30 must mean that I put in a full day and was tired)...he came over to find a couple of sheriff deputies and a tow truck working to extricate a Prius type car that he told me was driven by a couple of AT&T geeks trying to locate a cell phone tower. Of course by the time I talked to my neighbor the deputies were off shift and no body in the sheriff's department apparently has any access to their reports? Was told I'd have to talk to a shift commander when they come back on...grrr....in the meantime my only driveable access to the rest of my property looks like a war zone that I would probably get even my 4X4 stuck in now So my impatience at getting some facts about the damage to my property is only matched by the impatient question of why no one came and knocked on my door? My house and polebarn are right there and it should be pretty obvious that someone lives there with a boat for sale out in front!!!! Oh yeah-told the claims lady that obviously there were going to be some heads rolling if no one is supposed to be out a 4 AM.... OH YEAH-there is NO CELL PHONE TOWER ANYWHERE CLOSE TO MY PROPERTY!!!!!

To answer my original header question-YES they do work on the towers at ALL hours of the night!!! The deputy that was out here for the original call stopped by a little bit ago to give me all the information I'd need for filing a damage claim. He was also telling me (he works the 6P to 6A shift) that they are getting more and more calls about "suspicious activity" at all of the cell towers...only to get there and find the techie geeks all hooked to the equipment with their laptops and going at it...onpparently there are techie geeks that hit these towers on a 24/7 basis.
I'll certainly have fun with the claims lady that said it just couldn't any AT&T personnel because they don't work on the towers at 4AM in the morning!!!

Hopefully here's the conclusion of this mess-I got a call from AT&T's claims department yesterday afternoon....even though I'm sure the lady knew I was still ticked off about the trespassing and damage she took all the info I had received from the sheriff's deputy, asked for what I thought it would take to fix it (I about 3000 sq ft to work up and level off), told since I have all the equipment and can do that work very easily myself it probably wouldn't be more than $300....I think she thought that was cheap! We both got a little chuckle when I found out that their insurance carrier is the same one that Walmart uses (Sedgewick....knew that since I'm working there part time and had to deal with them about my thumb surgery this spring).
So now all I need to do is wait until it dries out enough (more rain coming in tonight...groan), work it up, seed it(already have enough seed from another sidejob) and hopefully it will back to normal again.
I AM working on a cable or something to put up across the beginning of the drive even though I still think it's a sign of the deteriorating times when I have to do that!
