Today I applied for a 2nd job at a house cleaning service . I'm still working full time at the job that I'm at now , But my 1st pay check pays the Mortgage and leaves me with just gas money . my 2nd check goes to my other bills and I keep about 1/4 of that check . I need a different car or a truck , suv something 4x4 or both a car and a 4x4 . And the job that I applied for works Monday - Friday . My job I'm off every other Monday , Friday and weekend . And the 2nd job will help pay for my Hunting needs , Shells , Hunt club , camo , winter gear and so on .

Kudos to you for the willingness to work for what you want. A good work ethic is one of the most valuable things a man can have..... to bad many don't understand that.

As a business owner, I get to see the lack of work ethic 1st hand, every week. This country is going to be in big trouble in 10-15 yrs, if people don't figure out this work thing we all partake in.

I probably use the words entitlement mentality all too often but unfortunately it usually fits. Want something without working for it or earning it. We aren't owed anything in this life other than a fair chance at success. After that its up to us.

I couldn't agree more! I own a business as well, and I'm amazed at how many people either don't want to work or they only put in the bare minimum effort, willing to accept "good enough". Kudos to Mossberg500!

I like how you included the (sic) ..... for years and years I had no idea what that meant. Never noticed the word directly in front of it was always misspelled.

LOL - sic is Latin and loosely translates as, "the original author screwed up, and I just quoted him - don't blame me"

Update on the job Application , I still haven't heard a word yet so this past weekend I found where the place was , So tomorrow after work I'm dropping off a Resume and talking to them . I did find a oil change place that was hiring but the one thing that worries me is the fact that they are never busy . And I'm worried about not getting the hours to where the job won't be a waste of my time . I'm still searching

Do you have or are you capable of getting a chauffer's license to drive trucks? The fuel oil and propane deliveries often take on extra winter help when they can find reliable drivers with clean records.
Farmers are often hiring any help with truck experience at this time of year, also. Lots of trucking involved in getting the crops to the local elevators, and unless it has changed recently, that operation is exempt from the need for a chauffer's license.
A guy can sometimes pick up valuable info about game populations in the area and maybe even get permission from contacts made in that position, too.
Any time you have a valuable skill or qualify for a position that many others don't, it's a good place to look, in order to optimize your value to your employer. Benefits both parties to match the best employee to the best job available.

Heck go get foodstamps and some welfare...they hand that stuff out like candy..you can make more money not working than working a minimum wage job. talk about an Incentive...of course I'm being sarcastic..my dignity is worth much more than any money.

Amen, good for you if you can hack it. I couldn't do it physically or mentally anymore. I'd hurt somebody. It's all I can do to keep my lid on 40 hrs a week these days....
