Just returned from our annual fall Lake Erie Perch trip and for the first time ever we were able to wear shorts and t-shirts instead of rain gear and hunting cloths but that's not the unbelievable part. We traveled 20 miles from the dock to the Canadian border where we found the "sweet spot", we were done in under 2 hours with our 8 man limit of 240 perch weighing 86 pounds at the cleaners most of the fish being 10-12" range and a few pushing 14". For the first hour we had no other boats in sight but by the time we left there were 30+ boats that had found out where we were.We got done so fast that we sat there for about a 1/2 hour eating deer sausage, wild duck pate with fresh cherry tomatoes and homemade cheese. LIFE WAS GOOD! I can't wait for May when we will return for our first walleye trip of the year. If any of you would like the info regarding the charter we have been using for over ten years let me know.

Lake Erie is a great fishery. The Smallmouth Bass fishing on Lake Erie is some of the best in the world.
