If you are out hunting on a public marsh such as Goose Pond and find that tame birds have been turned loose in the area, can you dispatch the birds and hunt the area or do you have to refrain from hunting for 10 days? How big of an area would have to be shutdown if you can't hunt it for 10 days?Would these tame birds count towards your bag limit of "other" duck? What is considered a tame/captive duck?
What do you do if you move to another area but the birds continue to follow you? I know it sounds weird but we had to pack and leave a hunt because we didn't know what else to do.

Check with the property manager and see what his recommendations are. Please see the posting below that is a federal and state restriction on hunting waterfowl.
Restrictions No person shall take migratory game birds: By the use or aid of live decoys. All live, tame or captive ducks and geese shall be removed for a period of 10 consecutive days prior to hunting, and confined within an enclosure which substantially reduces the audibility of their calls and totally conceals such tame birds from the sight of migratory waterfowl.
