He Came from my right and then got behind tree. Awkward spot with Xbox. Also downwind. I could have dropped him with shotgun easy. That one's going to haunt me for a while. Might have a better chance at getting him if you would stop playing xbox.

Finally, a stand with internet. Lol! Sitting in a triple-trunked red oak on a ridge saddle. Shot a 151" buck in this spot one year.

Back on the food plot. Weather channel is wrong AGAIN on the wind direction. Screws up half my approaches. The view from the north stand.. They have been wrong a few times at my locations too. Best luck with consistent wind speed and directions have been from my Scout Look app. Looks like you're in a dandy of a spot! Food plot looks great! Good luck to you all!

Just had a little spike buck come out. He stuck around for about 10 minutes. He raised his nose up a few times, so he was catching some of my scent due to this swirling wind . Hopefully the wind will lay soon.

I enjoy reading these posts so kudos to all doing so with my thank you. That said, it's not for me. 1. Paying for anything more than texting and so many minutes of use is all my budget can handle. 2. I know me. I'd be messing around doing something on the dang phone and some hawg would sneak up on me and I'd blow a chance at him. I need NO help messing up on a deer. LOL! My "ring" is on vibrate with the alarm set on vibrate as well and set to go off 3 minutes before shooting hours end. That way I don't keep dragging it out and lighting up my face with it to see what time it is too. So......saying thanks to those adding their fun here! God Bless

Steve. I pay $27 month through h20 and I get a stipend of $58 from work so I'm making money. Its good service but you have to have your own phone.

I ended up seeing the one spike with pencil thin spikes and two does and two fawns. The does and fawns were at the other end of the filed...by my first stand. The does started running around and I thought sure there was a buck down there too. But it ended up one doe was establishing her dominance and chasing the smaller doe.
A friend of mine texted me with a picture of a big old doe that he out the hammer on....

I'm hunting a staging area this morning. Lots of fresh rubs. It's thick in here so I won't see a lot of deer. But I know bucks have been in here this week. Fingers crossed!

Try the "windalert" app ... .it has real time wind map that reads all the wind stations in your area for current wind direction and speed .... it also has a forecast feature.

I would recommend WeatherLink. Lots of farmers have weather stations on their farms. WeatherLink lets you find and follow any active weather stations in your area and gives you accurate up to date weather info including pressure, precipitation, and wind speed.

looking at the weatherlink map I bet the windAlert app uses the same base stations.

If that's true, then I would say that both apps have reliable info.
