Just had a couple does come through they are definitely moving. But I agree, the wind is gusting fairly well.

It's a really nice morning out, but I could do without these gusts of wind every 5 minutes.

At least there's turkeys gobbling.
You never realize how important a squirrels tail is until you see one missing a tail falling from limb to limb. Most clumsy thing I've ever seen.

I set up for turkey and had 9 hens come right of the roost. They were pecking my decoy. I got feathers but the one I shot at just kept eating. Had about 8 does run through the field.

Bumped a doe walking in this morning. Had 7 turkeys roosted 30 yards from my stand. They flew down, and walked away from me. Im sitting in a long finger between 2 corn fields. Hope to see something.

Turkeys, turkeys and more turkeys, all Tom's in the groups. Zero deer again, but I am surrounded by corn field and beans. Got to be here somewhere......

Might be too windy to hunt when the walnut tree I'm in that shares my girth starts dancing in the wind.

I got down at 11:00. Spotty cell signal there too, so no internet surfing from the stand. Lol! I was situated on a saddle on top of a wooded ridge and didn't see a deer. The wind was cold -- I was definitely under-dressed and shivering.

Ended morning sit at 10:30. Saw 4 does. Laying down contemplating my evening options. Hoping hoping the wind will lay down a bit.

I saw nothing. If the wind doesn't lay down some I may take the evening off.

If the wind calms down, I may try something that I have never done -- I may set up over a soybean field. I have had permission to hunt a few adjoining properties for almost two decades now: a 325-acre cattle farm, a 75-acre wooded tract, and 90-acres of pretty much field only. Well, for the last few years, the 90-acre property has been planted in beans in one end and corn in the other end (rotated annually). The fields are east of the woods of the 75-acre property, with the field edge being the property fencerow. I could set up on the west edge of the bean field and perhaps catch a deer before it gets down wind of me in the field. I hate hunting over pasture land and have never hunted over crops or food plots -- I prefer the forest myself. It'll kill me to sit over a field, but I just may give it a shot. LOL! The corn is NEVER cut until the first week of December.

33 mph winds keeps me in during bow season. Gun season no problem. Supposed to be 7 mph tomorrow morning. Will try then. Plenty of season left.
