Read that article, and enjoyed it. Unlike one of the comments, below the article, I think small game contests are fun, and Woody, yours is the best! Small game hunter numbers have fallen way off in the last couple decades, in deference to deer and turkey hunting. I "rediscovered" squirrel hunting about three years ago, and it is now my No. 1 favorite hunting pass time. Anything to promote small game hunting, again, is just fine with me.

I didn't read the article all the way through, but as soon as I read the Squirrel Master Classic portion, I'm pretty sure I saw this on one of the TV shows, Bone Collector maybe. They were using squirrel dogs and air rifles; and man did they put a whooping on them limb chickens. At the end of the hunt they weighed the kills and the winner was the team with either the most combined wight or the most squirrels, I can't recall right off hand, but it was pretty entertaining. I've never hunted squirrels with dogs but man that looked like it would be a good time.

I've hunted them with dogs a few times and yes it's very fun.
