...........an anchor.President Barack Obama offered a new talking point to Senate Republicans on Monday — just two weeks away from Election Day. Speaking on the Rev. Al Sharpton's radio show, Obama said the Democratic candidates who have been avoiding him are actually "strong allies who have supported my agenda." Many of these candidates are in conservative-leaning states where Obama's agenda is decisively unpopular. "And so some of the candidates there — it is difficult for them to have me in the state because the Republicans will use that to try to fan Republican turnout," Obama said, according to The Hill. "The bottom line is though, these are all folks who vote with me, they have supported my agenda in Congress, they are on the right side of minimum wage, they are on the right side of fair pay, they are on the right side of rebuilding our infrastructure, they're on the right side of early childhood education."
Neutral political observers said the quote is a gift for Republicans running in tougher-than-expected races in these more conservative states. Senate Republicans need to net six seats to regain the majority in the chamber. To accomplish that, they must pick off Democrats in states like Louisiana, Alaska, North Carolina, and Arkansas. "Christmas came early for Republicans in tough races," the research firm Potomac Research Group declared Tuesday morning. finance.yahoo.com/news/obama-just-said-last-thing-123216596.html What a smart man he is....

Even if the Republicans can take over the Senate, the majority is going to be a couple of seats (at best). And anything they try to push through will be vetoed @ Obama's desk and there is no way they (Republican Senators) are going to get a 2/3 majority to over ride that veto.
So maybe that means that the Republicans and Obama will find common ground....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.
Sorry....I couldn't resist....
In reality....my guess is that very little will be accomplished in the next two years.....

Yep.
In some way it might be political advantageous for Democrats in 2016 to lose the Senate in 2014. Playing the blame game is more difficult when you control 2/3 of the game.
Chess. Not checkers.

Checkmate would be super majority in the Senate ... majority in the House and holding the White House.
The tri-fecta.
Dont see either party doing that for a few years.
