Can I safely assume I picked a good spot for a backup stand when deer walked past as I was finishing up and they didn't notice the stand, me in the stand, the tower, or my brother on said tower?
Now I need a west wind, a free evening, and the deer to cooperate again.

Just means the wind was right that day Actually it was completely wrong for the bedding thicket/oak flat I wanted to cover. They came in the drainage from the cow pasture to the northwest and turned north towards the cedars. I think we got really lucky and slid out as quietly as possible once they got out if sight.
