Good. I'd also contact the CO and make them aware of what is happening. I had a problem similar to yours and the CO gave me a piece of paper to sign, saying that I'd prosecute if they were caught. He said that with that on file it would help. Tell the CO about who has permission to hunt there too.
I grew up on the South side of Chicago. Lets just say that if I had pictures, and knew where they lived, I woudn't have any more problems.........

I have my name in mine. Not obvious, but it's there if you know where to look.

I once caught a guy that had stolen one of my stands. It was one I had welded up myself. It was a one of a kind stand. It came up missing the first day of season. I was at the gas station getting gas a few days after it was stolen and a truck drives by the station with it in the back of the truck. I could just see the seat sticking above the side of the bed. I had mig welded my name on the seat and covered it with foam and green outdoor carpet. I quickly run inside to pay for my gas and go in the direction the truck had gone. I couldn't find it. A couple days later I'm heading to my parents house and there's a rental house on the way there and low and behold there is the red Chevy with my stand still in the back. I pull in and go up to the truck and make sure it's mine. I take it out and sit it down by his truck and go up and beat on the door. I hear a TV on inside but no one would answer the door. I was going to head in town and report this to the police (It was before cell phones)but think it could be gone when we get back. I thought if he wanted it so bad I could give it to him by bouncing it off the hood of his truck and putting it through the windshield, but decided to just take it and leave. I have killed many deer out of this stand and still have to this day. I did stop and put a note in the mail box describing in detail what would happen if he ever messed with my property again. Problem solved

Problem solved At least you got it back. Never know, he could have unknowingly bought it from the thief. I've bought a couple second hand stands myself..

Make a copy, deal with the CO in your area, if they don't help, go up the ladder to the state police until you get results. You will succeed. Screw the locals if they want to play games. Fight back! Post your land if not already done. Good luck. YOU DONT HAVE TO POST YOUR LAND, I don't post no trespassing signs on my house. The woods is no different. You don't own it you cant go in it !!

Just a tip since tree stands don't have serial numbers on them you can etch your own "serial" number on the stand somewhere. This can be used by the police and they can actually enter that tree stand as stolen in the system. That way if it is located the officer can run the number and it would show up stolen !!!
