I always ask that my arrow/slug flies true just prior to shot. (Has worked out well) Think the older I get the more feelings I have about taking a "life" though.

I always feel a tinge of sadness (not remorse) after killing any animal. If I ever lose that element of the harvest, I will quit hunting. That is a promise I have made to myself.

I don't know if I will ever get to that point, but I certainly know what your saying. Definitely I pass more deer nowadays than in my earlier year's. Higher standard's??, not a need to just kill, more a sense of out thinking a mature deer, whether it be a buck or doe.
