Can't go back out till I get a gun that fires (had the bead on a few deer one day this week pulled trigger, nothing) so probably next season as Christmas is rapidly approaching. I need to try to take my shotgun apart and lube it and see if it will fire then. A guy said the other day he'd give me some deer meat so I'm hoping that works out to help offset the cost of the tag soup. I think I am gonna shop for a muzzleloader any suggestions? If I can't find a bolt action shotgun. I got out of deer hunting 4 years ago because I feel it's so expensive but my lovely wife insisted I spend our money on deer tags.. Anyone else having problems this season?

Could have just been a dud round. Disassemble and clean it, then try it again. A dirty gun or a dud round is no reason to give it up.. unless you're just not feeling it anyway. If you don't enjoy it, no reason to keep at it.

I tried three rounds... I was praying for it to be a dud round, the firing pin just isn't striking hard enough I guess. I bought it took it out shot some rounds through it to learn the gun then firearm rolled around and didn't see anything until Thursday eve saw seven a little out of my comfort zone 200 yards or so snuck through the woods to within 50 yds put the bead on the big buck and click then click then click nothing I bet I pulled the trigger thirty times even spit in the action hoping I could free it up lol I enjoy hunting and thankfully I have a wife who seems to be encouraging me more and more to get back into deer hunting.

Then I agree strip it down and clean it well; that may fix it.

Someone is letting me borrow their much more modern barely used gun so I will tear it down after deer season I was planning on stripping and refinishing and gifting it to my little brother so he can learn about gun ownership and what it feels like to get kicked by a horse lol so I will have to get it firing first

Do you have a saddle scope mount on this gun?
