Imagine living in a world where a dumb Seth Rogan movie could be the catalyst of war.
Sometimes I fear we are devolving as a species...

Mixed emotions on this one.
I think hacking is a crime of stealing. The first amendment should be honored, but with it comes a sense of responsibility.
Big Hollywood thought that they could make fun of a rogue nation and their nutcase dictator to the point of blowing his head off in the final scene and everyone would laugh up a storm. Kim and company did not see the humor in it. I think it will be awhile before Sony or any other Hollywood film company makes a like movie.

Why doesn't our Country "play their game" of hacking, and do this to them. OR are we just that plain stupid. If North Korea or any country, continues this computer hacking, then we should view this as an act of WAR!! Since when does another Country dictate what movies we can or can't make. Time for this Country get tough!!!

I agree with woody, it is just a silly movie, what's the harm. However the guy is a lunatick. And if another country had a show that made fun of us and ultimately assassinated our president I doubt many of us would find it funny. I don't think we would attack the country but who knows...

Didn't we hack into and wreak havok on their power grid a few years ago?
NSA and CIA taps phone and data lines across the globe including members of our own Congress.
The funny little man got his feelings hurt and decided to publicaly hurt Sony by doing the same thing they, and everyone else including us, do everyday behind closed doors.

I know we did to Iran's nuclear missile program. Well allegedly. I think the report showed Britain did it. Wink wink

How would we have felt if Iraq would have made a movie about killing George Bush during the Iraq crisis.

How would we have felt if Iraq would have made a movie about killing George Bush during the Iraq crisis. The Liberals would have loved it. Would probably nominate it for an Oscar. Iraq didn't make a movie but had a plan to assassinate George H W Bush.

I know more than a few Conservatives who would relish a movie where our current POTUS gets "taken out"...but we all know Hollywood would NEVER make that movie.

Yep ... many conservatives would love a movie starring Obama just like many liberals would have loved a movie starring Bush.

Yes but IMO he made the same mistake with prisoner swaps..... both cases are likely to encourage bad behavior in the future.

Are you talking about the swaps with Cuba or something to do with N Korea?

With freedom and liberty comes great responsibility.
I think Sony showed poor judgement in making the movie to begin with. While they were fully within their rights to do so, I feel it was an irresponsible choice and they should've expected something like this to happen. They've turned a dumb movie into an international incident.
