Does a youth (ten year old) need a license to sit with a licensed hunter on a deer hunt? The youth would not have a gun or take an animal.

That is a good one.. my son sat with me when he was 4,5,6,7 years old and I never bought a license for him, and he never touched the gun

Kinda like when my wife goes "fishing" with me on the boat. She never picks a pole up, in fact ive never even brought an extra pole with me for her. All shes there for is the sun and company. We've been checked by the dnr many of times on the water..she not having a license at all and pretty much all the proof needed to back my story up, never once have i recieved a ticket. Im almost positive anyone just along for the hunt with absolutely no intentions of hunting doesnt have to have any type of license. Just be sure they no way shape or form touch any kind of weapon while their out.
