I'm making a few cedar squirrel feeders and have more than enough corn but was wanting to mix the corn with something else. Any suggestions?

sunflower seeds
Mom & Dad feed sunflower seed hearts to the birds (no hulls to clean up) and it's a constant battle to keep the squirrels out of the bird feeders.

Personally, I prefer to feed them a .177 pellet at 1000 FPS, but that's just me... Squirrels adore peanut butter, the chunkier the better, and they like cheap peanut butter just fine. You don't have to mix it with your corn, just smear some on the tree trunks, the squirrels will find it in short order.

They do like sun flowers seeds. My squirrels will eat the hearts out of the corn and leave the rest.

Although the past 2 years its been with a bow so I can try and improve my archery skills. But, the wife likes the ones at home so they get a free pass!

I am trying to shoot them all from around the house. They are eating at the rubber on the bottom of the garage door.

I saw a piney (Red Squirrel) sitting on the gun rack next to the shooting bench and the barn. I put a rat trap on it baited with peanut butter and he was dead the next day. He didn't stick around long enough for me to grab the .17 MachII on day one.

I don't like feeding wild game like Squirrels as when you do, they become "Pets". Don't mind feeding the birds though.
