wlfi.com/2015/01/29/bald-eagle-populations-are-soaring/I've been kind of following the increase around here for a couple of decades....25 years ago there was only one known nest site in the county (Black Rock area), now I know of at least two and wouldn't be surprised if there aren't more than that.

We spotted one not far from our property last week. The first one so close to us. They're not uncommon near the river, but we're 35 miles north from there.

Last fall we saw 5 fly over the youth soccer field in Boonville at the same time. It was quite a sight!

Know of 3 occupied nest on the White River from the Ramond St. Bridge to S.R. 144 bridge. It is a great sight to see them and know they are doing well State wide.

They are a fairly common sight for me, in the Lake Monroe area, to East Fork White River, to Lake Greenwood at Crane. I probably see an eagle at least once a month these days, without really looking for them.

There is a pair that have a nest around Bluegrass FWA. Been watching them build their nest all winter long.

There are estimated to be around 100 Bald Eagles living in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area in western Kentucky during the winter. This is southwest of Evansville, Indiana.
There are a lot of Bald Eagles along the Ohio River in southern Indiana also.
