Ill be fishing every day till ice out....then heading for the shores of the Wabash river for 'eyes!!
I've heard about and seen circle hooks. I'm just old fashioned and......hate trying new stuff. I really have no issues now with standard hooks.
Need to start making my own jigs, both ice and river ones. Ordering wax worms by the K next season too.
God Bless

I've heard about and seen circle hooks. I'm just old fashioned and......hate trying new stuff. I really have no issues now with standard hooks. God Bless I felt the same way until I tried them. One thing I've always hated was some poor dumb fish swallowing my hook, only to die after I tried my best to remove it with the least damage. I first tried circle hooks while deep sea fishing during a vacation to Panama City, Florida. To say that they work like a charm would be understatement, not one fish that I hooked had the chance to swallow the hook, all had them in a corner of their mouth. I also noticed a much higher percentage of hook sets, they set the hook almost every time. Try them, I honestly think that you'll like them.
