Thanks to my family and friends for the BassPro gift cards, this little gem hitched a ride home with me. I shot a loaner the other day at the range and fell in love with the trigger.

I'm considering that one for an ankle holster. My CM9 is my carry gun..

First 8 shots down the pipe. No bore sight. Nothing special...just puttin' the white dot on the target at 7 yards! Right out of the box. Very pleased!

Looks pretty good! I've never handled a Ruger semi-auto. I'm thinking of replacing my S&W snubbie as my EDC and getting something with a slimmer profile. May have to check out one of these.

I got one of the new Ruger LC9s Pro Model. This one does NOT have an external safety and NO magazine disconnect so it will shoot with one in the chamber and no magazine in the gun. I use it for my carry gun now. It's smaller and lighter than my Walther PPQ M2 9 mm and holds less ammo.
It shoots great and has a nice trigger too. The only draw back is that it only holds 7 shells. I have a BlackHawk Ambi Nylon Holster with the thumb break which has a place to hold a spare magazine.
The trigger is nice and smooth. As this gun is a striker fired pistol. And it shoots good. I shot it at the indoor range (Right to Bear Arms) near Ft Branch or Haubstadt, IN and at Sugar Ridge Fish and Wildlife's Shooting range. It shoots a lot better at 7 yards than at 25 yards. My PPQ shoots good at 25 yards as it's got a longer Sight Radius. I ordered a new shell for my AlienGear IWB holster and it should be ready in about three weeks. So I'll try carrying this new gun IWB after I change out the shell on my holster. I have the AlienGear Tuck 2.0 holster with a Kydex Shell for my PPQ pistol. I got the new shell for my Ruger but have not installed it onto the Tuck 2.0 holster yet. I'll be doing that real soon.
I'm going to just use the PPQ 9 mm for the range work. I'll keep both pistols and use the Ruger for Concealed Carry since it's smaller and lighter to carry.
My BlackHawk Ambi Sporster holster(s) will fit both guns PPQ and LC9 which is sort of strange. One Sporster is size 5 and the other is size 6. But then again I have two identical holster except one is size 5 and the other is size 6. So I thought that was kinda strange that either holster will fit each of my two guns. Although the Ruger's back sights tend to get hung up in the bigger holster. So It works better is the smaller Sporster holster from BlackHawk. The BlackHawk thumb straps are adjustable so I can make them work good with either gun.
These are the BlackHawk Sporster Ambidextrous Holster with Mag Pouch Size 6 and size 5. I really like these two holsters as they can be used on either side and with or without the thumb breaks and inside the waste belt or outside the waste belt. They can be worn on a belt or with a metal belt clip that attaches the holster onto the belt either OWB or IWB.
The only downside is that when worn IWB they tend to collapse making it hard to get the gun back into the holster with one hand. That's because I have to really tighten up my belt to hold my pants up when carrying the gun in the holster on my belt. My waist line is bigger than my hips now so I need to wear suspenders to keep the pants up. Your mileage may differ.
I'll report back later on the accuracy of this gun after I've had more time with it and get new eye glasses next January.
July 17, 2015. It's not January yet and I still don't have my new bifocal prescription eye glasses or contacts yet but I've been shooting this little Gem at the rifle range a few times now. So I think it's time to report on his accuracy. Now I only have shot it at the 25 yard range about two times and each time I shot about 50 rounds of Blazer Brass 9 mm 115 grain. These shoot pretty good out of this little Ruger LC9S Pro handgun. I got a Caldwell PISTOLERO shooting rest to use with my pistols just so that I can test to see how accurate my hand guns can shoot with a good steady rest. The Pistolero only costs about $30 at the most. Shooting at the larger Shoot N C targets most of my shots landed inside the 8 circle and several were touching on inside the orange bulls eye. Three shots were inside the 10 circle. Now remember that the ranges is 25 yards to the target which pretty far for a pistol. The guns has not jammed or failed to fire yet and I've shoot about 200 rounds of the Blazer Brass 9mm 115 grain though it now and a clip of Hornady Critical Defense Flex 135 grain bullets as well. I forget that I had them loaded in the gun and shot them at the range before I knew I had used my most expensive self defense ammo in my gun. I didn't really want to shoot those rounds at the range. But it was good to know that they feed though this gun perfectly and didn't cause any problems. These are +P type 9 mm shells and have a little more powered in them than the Blazer Brass 9 mm 115 gr bullets.
I'm really pleased with this little Ruger LC9S Pro pistol and use it for my carry gun now. It's trigger is nice and smooth and fun to shoot.
PS: I did shoot this pistol at the Right To Bear Arms indoor shooting range up in Haubstadt IN and tested it at the indoor range at around 7 yards out to 25 yards. It shot pretty good there too. That was the first time I ever shot this gun. Since then I've had it at the longer range only. Only when I was at the indoor range I didn't have have the Pistolero to hold the gun on. I shot free hand with two hands and at around 7 to 10 yards. It was pretty accurate at closer range.
This only downside to this little pistol is it only holds 7 rounds in the magazine. Compared to my PPQ M2 that holds 17 rounds in the Magazine. So I run out of bullets faster with the Ruger than the Walthers.
