He was not talking about it effecting or starting the rut here at all in the clip guys .He was talking about phase vs peak feeding or best days and hunting times for legal shooting movement .some people want to argue too much .No IMHO the moon does not effect the timing of the rut at all never has .But amount of light it casts at the times of low light conditions does influence deer movement and feeding times.

I agree that moon effect's daytime deer activity, and since that's when I hunt I would call that, the moon effecting deer hunting. Have always seen and experienced more daytime activity during the dark of the moon. If it line's up with the chasing phase of RUT you are going to see more deer. Been using moon phases myself for 30 plus year's. Don't care if someone want's to write an article that says moon doesn't effect deer hunting. Believe what you want.

The only thing science can say for sure is that the moon phase does not effect the time a doe will come into estrus. Other than that, everything is fair game and open to interpretation and speculation, lol.
