Dumb question time.....
Have the 4 high fence "preserves" in the state been operating during the time this has been going through the courts, and if so, will they continue to operate unless/until the state appeals the court's decision with the state supreme court and that decision is rendered?

Yes..... That's the way I understand it to be Okay...next dumb question(s)... Can the existing preserve license holders, sell or lease that license right now? And can they (the license holders) move their preserve to another location if they so choose (as was outlined in the bill that failed to pass)? Or are they just stuck in limbo "as is"?

Any idea whey Farm Bureau would be for this bill? Farm bureau is pushing hard for this because the industry gave their Vice President Randy Kron deer and he thinks he is going to make some money. This is a big issue for him. Many years ago several in the Industry signed up for insurance too and lobbied them at their annual meeting to adopt policy on this. Farm Bureau hates wild deer and hunters and love private deer and canned hunters.$$$$$$$ They are horrible when it comes to natural resources. I understand they have funded some of the lawsuit.

They have no license. There is no such thing in Indiana as a deer hunting preserve. There are bird shooting preserves only. Law says you have to have a game breeders license to have captive deer. Rodney does not. You can not hunt deer that are under a game breeders license. They are illegal and have always been.

What they need to do is introduce legislation next session to ban the industry completely.....
Like Bullwinkle pointed out ...... "They are illegal and have always been"

Genuine question ... what law makes them illegal? Can you point me to the IC that you are getting that from?

The better question would be what IC makes them legal....

That's not a question someone who understands how the law works would ask.

Wonder why the deer s just don't open them now??? Why wait for a bill to pass to make them "Legal" Personally I have never looked for a IC that makes them "Illegal"

You reiterated that they were illegal....I simply asked where you were getting that from. A simple "I have no idea" would suffice.

So in the end....what changed?
These places are still around and operating, right?
Is the next step for the state to go to the state Supreme Court?
What happens if the Supreme Court sides with the preserve owners?
