OK.. I have to ask all deer hunters on here. Would you pay $30 to be in drawing for a first week in January second buck hunt. Yea or nay? . No...If I could use the tag anytime during the season, I might do that, but not a January hunt..... After all, we are only talking about 100 tags statewide. Why not make it an "any season" tag and make a fortune selling chances @ $30.00 per? Offering the tag for a January hunt will likely limit the income potential.

If it was in November it might be a different answer.

Two $500 taxidermy bills in one fall would be too much. Throw in my son's tab and I'm running out of cash and wall space the way it is.

Nope, but that's just because the odds aren't very good and I haven't made it past the first day of firearm season anyway.

Since it is the legislature saying "MAY" it probably won't happen.. IF it was drawn before deer season and good for all deer season them they would sell like hotcakes.. If it was at the end of firearms season and was a special firearms antlered deer tag the. It would sell like hot cakes especially if you just had like all the way up until the end of firearm season to enter
