A WALLEYE fishing report from Lake Erie

Trip #1 is in the books and it was a good one.
We fished Thursday under heavy overcast skies with a light rain and 48 degree temps.
The water temps was also 48 degrees, the water was fairly clear with 1'-2' foot waves
We trolled Perfect 10's and Reef Runners catching 13 fish having and average weight of 7 pounds with one at 10 pounds.
We lost about 7 fish because of some rookie mistakes.
We enjoyed a great fish fry at a local restaurant with fish that we provided.
Fishing Lake Erie early like this is a roll of the dice as far as the weather goes but this is the time to catch the PIGS.
