Plenty of other quotes there for ya....like the one where I said if they are caught cheating they will be fined. Or the one time I offered an opinion in the original thread and said I bet they are fined and lose a pick. Now the report is out I doubt there is enough the cost the team a pick but Bradys future is still unknown.
Like I said....you don't seem to know what eating crow means. Or the discussing of various possibilities...vs opinions...vs facts.
If that changes I'll chime back in....

Swilk, you are trying to be the voice of reason and moderation in a conversation among Colts fans about that Football Team from New England. As a non-Colts fan, there is NO WAY you can feel the unreasonable disgust and putrid hatred all true Colts fans have for that organization. It makes no sense, I realize. It's why "fan" comes from "fanatical". If a Colts fan doesn't hate that team, I would call them a casual observer, not a "fan". The only other team I feel that kind of hatred for is the college team from Lexington. I won't utter their names nor the names of their disgusting coaches. So if you are looking for level-headed reason in a thread involving a bitter rivalry, you may be looking for a while. Rivalries are not supposed to make sense.

Here is what I think about this mess….
I do not believe that any “atmospheric pressure” as being the culprit. 11 out of 12 of the Pat’s balls were underinflated and only 1 out of 12 of the Colt’s balls was underinflated. That does not compute in my mind. The ball equipment guy (the same one doing the texting) taking the bag of balls into the rest room with him raises a big suspicion with me.
I firmly believe that Brady likes for his footballs to be underinflated so he can get a better grip and the receiver has a better chance of catching the ball. I also firmly believe that he has asked, even bribed, the equipment men to underinflate them. That was pointed out to me in the texts that they shared back and forth. The cheating track record of the Pats shows from the top down it has been a generally accepted practice to push the envelope as much as possible. Do other teams/individuals cheat too? More than likely but we can only address the ones that were caught. Innocent until proven guilty.
As far as “fans” go. The NFL had better listen to ALL the fans as they are the paying customers and try to put some integrity back into the game.. That will be tough to do..
What will happen? I believe that the NFL will suspend Brady for 4 to 5 games, fine the Pats a half million or so, take away some draft picks and it will be business as usual until caught again.
Brady did tarnish his record, but just maybe his record would not been nearly as good if he had not been using underinflated balls? I can put this in a hunting vein – If a big buck killing hunter is caught poaching a big buck every buck he has ever killed before comes under suspicion. His previous kills might have been 100% legitimate but people will think he cheated on them too.
NOW – As Forrest Gump says – "That all that I have to say about that”.

Considering that what happened could be easily duplicated without malicious intervention I think their legacies will be just fine no matter the punishment they may receive.

You could easily duplicate that 92% of one team's balls were naturally deflated (after a field trip to the bathroom) and only one of the other teams balls were under inflated? Man, you are good!

There's also the fact that the Ravens tipped the Colts off to it and the Colts reported it to the league BEFORE the game started. That atmospheric magic must have been at work the previous week too...and in a 4 point game,

I'm going to stay out of this being a lifelong Pats fan I'm biased but you said innocent until proven. Probable isn't positive. My mind. Sure he did it. Pats way out. The texts. F Tom this, F Tom that. Disgruntled worker setting Tom up. Did Tom know? I'll put it like this, did Tom not know knowing what he did know. I'm sticking to that. Met and several others hit the nail on the head. It matters in Indy a heck of a lot more than most areas. I except that my team pushes the envelope more than others. Some things are outright. Some are bending. I'm just honest enough to admit it. As far as putting integrity back into the game. That's been gone since the late 70's. Win at any cost is the name of the game. Sad but the NFL is a business. Want to know who's cheating. Look at the top say 3-7 winning teams year after year after year. Look back on the investigations against those teams and accusations. Proven no. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Its reality. I follow to some degree but lately its getting harder. Honestly when Brady is gone I'll probably be to. I follow players and the state of the NFL is akin to MLB. Jeter retiring was the last of the pure players that played for the love of the game.

That atmospheric magic must have been at work the previous week too...and in a 4 point game, If this is true. I can't for the life of me see why the Ravens didn't bring this to light. Why would they "tell the Colts" to do so. This seams a little fishy.

Easily. Not as easily as the Pats whipped the Colts but easily enough....
