Has anyone ever hunted elk in Kentucky? I've been putting my wife and myself in the draw for 3 years, at $10 a shot at a long shot draw I figured why not? Today a letter was in the mailbox from the ky fish and game. It says: congratulations, you have been selected for the 2015 elk hunt. You have drawn an at large antlerless archery/ crossbow elk tag. Exciting right? That's not the crazy part....the letter was addressed to my WIFE! Needless to say I'm pretty excited. My plans for fall have changed. I'm dedicating my season to getting her an elk. I'm so happy for her. Sooooo......Anyone have any advice on wear to start? Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=852914431431752

Congrats to you both on a hard to draw tag. If it were me, I'd get down there as much as possible to scout between now and then. Elk is fine eating.

Congrats. Does the KY F&G still pick the area for you where you will be hunting?

Probably once in a lifetime hunt. Hire a guide.. Also, save your money-up for the Elk Hunt. This hunt will most likely run you around $2,300 taking everything in consideration, for the Hunt in Kentucky.

Congrats. Does the KY F&G still pick the area for you where you will be hunting? It's an at large tag, so anywhere that is public she can hunt. There are limited entry areas we can put in for also Trophy Paradise Habitat Consulting "Trophies are built from the ground up" m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=852914431431752
