Anyone had any luck finding 22lr shells right now I'm stuck with a bucket off golden bullets and my 10/22 hates em so much I'd really like to find some good ole fashion CCI round nose bullets

You have to watch all the on line stores and the local shops, I did get 1000 rounds of CCI a little while back.

I've not seen a single round of .22 LR (any brand) for sale in my area in four years!! However, I occasionally glance at the ads on the "homepage" of the town, and see individuals selling .22 LR ammunition at a premium price. Myself, I have over 2,000 rounds of .22 LRHP ammo, and my last purchase was back in 2009 at our local Walmart. Before moving to central Ky, I purchased 10 boxes of 100 CCI Mini-Mag .22 LRHP, in 2007, at the West Side Rural King Store in Evansville paying $3.75 per box (including sales tax).
Down here I purchased a Marlin Model 60, from Walmart, in June of 2009, and received a FREE carton of 550 Federal .22 LRHPs shells.

I have better luck finding .22 ammo at my local shops, rather than the big box stores. One of my local shops has been having some amount of .22 ammo, every time I stop by. I haven't been buying any, because I'm stocked up, but I've been sending my buddies there.

I've not run across anything but the real expensive premium stuff, however a couple different buddies know I am a gun nut and they have picked me up a few boxes here and there when they run across it. In no danger of running out anytime soon, probably have 5000 rounds on hand.

I probably have a hundred or two rounds of CCI hollow points but I've basically quit looking for it when I go due to so many failed attempts. Rember when you used to be able to run to Walmart drop eight or ten bucks and run 500 rounds down range and not worry about never seeing it for sale again

When I did some .22 handgun shooting I loaded up with six or so boxes of 550 at $8. I've still got a couple..

Pretty easy to come by CCI .22 ammo at a local shop here in Columbus. If you don't live far it may be worth a trip. Phoenix Guns on State Street

Went to our Walmart this morning and they finally had some Winchester and CCI .22 LR Ammo. Bought one (The Limit) box of 333 Winchester .22 LRHPs as my Brother said he needed some .22 Ammunition, so he's set now. I paid $18.00 for the box of 333.

Here's a good site for finding ammo availability at Wal-Mart. Somehow, it checks their stock. ammo-can.net/stock/

I have bought about 6000 rounds of .22 in the last year, mostly online and at wally world. You can still find it but you have to work at it like a full time job.

The only ammo I have bought in the last 3 yrs., is CCI standard velocity long rifle. It shoots very well in all three of my .22s, and is my go-to squirrel ammo. I've paid from $20 to a max of $40, out the door. Most has been $35. I've got about 6K rounds, that will last me a long time. You boys looking, just gotta look a little harder. maddog

I don't buy ammo much but I get texts from the LGS every once in awhile saying he got some 22 ammo in. I've got a few CCI I think and around 3/4 of a box of MiniMags I've had for years I'll probably never use,my guns don't care for it. They like Remington yellow bullets and WW Super X.
