Recently lost our lease in Greene county. Is there any good public land to hunt that has good quality deer on it? I know there are three areas of public land in which to hunt just do not know if they are any good or not. What are some that are close to this county with quality deer and chances of seeing deer every time one goes out? I have a free place to stay in Greene county and am looking for some place close. I'm from out of state and am wanting to find a place to scout around before deer season starts. Have three others that come hunt with me.

Hello cw,
I see it's your first post. Tell us where your favorite fishing hole is and then we'll talk. :-))
Sorry you lost your lease. This has to be as painful as losing your favorite pet.
Green County, I was told once to stay out of Green County, so it must be a great hunting spot. I'm sure we have some guys down that way. They may not have many teeth, but they'll know where to hunt.

Little bit farther south but Glendale f&w is an awesome place to hunt. They plant a pile of crops and food plots out there. Don't know how hard it gets hunted for deer but I know you WILL deal with rabbit hunters. I see a pile of sign out there when I'm running my dogs.
