I know you're interested in these shows. Did you see The cannibal in the jungle? Was on animal planet tonight. Took me awhile to figure this one out.

I did not see it.
Oh yes; my wife laughs at me, but I like to watch them. Can't convince me that things aren't out there. My retirement plan is to shoot one and sell the story. They just have to come in the handicap area of the forest.
Tell me about it. I'll look for it in rerun.
I didn't think the typical bipedal monster was cannibalistic. I'm curious now. Maybe it's a mutated hybrid or something. Dang, now those libs will have another piece of evidence to convince the public about global warming.

Its about a scientist that goes to the Philippines searching for a rare owl. He ends up being arrested for murder and possibility of cannibalism. This was in '77. Lost story short he claims or was ape like hobbits that were thought to be extinct for thousands of years. They found his video camera that has film of it after his death.

Ape like hobbits??? You sure it wasn't filmed in Green County? All those Philippines are kind of small; it figures that their bigfoots would be short.
I'll have to watch it. So they ate humans?

I looked and couldn't find it coming on again within the next week, a little unusual for cable.
Do you remember what channel it was on?
I appreciate you telling me about it.

Did you watch it? What did you think? I'm going to start a thread on aliens. I'm pretty much an open book. One doesn't have to know me long to know me. If I had an alien experience, I'd sure put it on here.

I watched it. It was entertaining, but I get annoyed when educational channels show this kind of found footage fictional stuff without making it abundantly clear it's not real. They did the same thing with mermaids a year or two ago.

It can't get much further out there than bigfoot making fire to cook his food. I thought to myself, "What is it going to take for me to stop watching it?" Did any of you guys watch the Devil's Graveyard? I think that's what it was called. It's where the scientist's son gets killed by their pet dog when they entered this certain area? This actually did make sense.

Swetz ruined it for me. He hasn't been around too long to know how much I would been all wrapped up in it. It just made sense, short people - short bigfoot.
Oh well, back to the aliens.
Since the monster shows season ended, my wife made a comment that I've been watching a lot of murder shows. LOL I think she was getting worried. I told her that I don't get the hunting channels with this cable service, so murder shows are the next best thing. Told her not to worry that there was no hunting season for wives.

Its actually fact/fiction. Those hobbits actually existed many moons ago. They just took a little liberty. Pretty neat show though.

Ah. Sorry. Didn't realize it was part of an ongoing joke. The "hobbits" were a real thing and it's pretty interesting. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_floresiensisAnother reason it kind of es me off. The truth is pretty interesting all by itself.

Had my wife watch it. Didn't tell her it was fake and kind of built up to it before she watched it. Now she believes there is a tribe of hobbits in the jungle that eat people and fly through the trees. Oh well. Never expected to receive the husband of the year award anyway.

They fly TOO? Oh man!
It's okay swetz. I like monster show ...real monster shows, but there will be another. Mountain Monsters is my favorite; this has to be real! Hillbillies just would not make this stuff up.

Hillbillies just would not make this stuff up. If you want to view a real gory horror movie series about "Hillbilly cannibals" then watch the series: "Wrong Turn" (1-5). The third one and fifth one, are the best.
