Didn't get to drown a single worm last year but I did manage to make it out this morning. I caught several bluegills like this.... And a few nice bass.... Along with some channel cats but, no pics of them.

Those Bluegills are Hybrid Bluegills, a cross between a Green Sunfish and a Bluegill.
Good fishing!

Doesn't look like the hybrid bluegills in my pond, mouth is too big. We catch similar looking fish in strip pits around Linton, usually in brush and wood piles and call them War Mouth, big ones usually about 8", very "ribby" like a Rock Bass.

The mouth size of the Hybrid Bluegill will vary. In the above picture, the fish's mouth is smaller than what a Green Sunfish's mouth would be if it got to that size.
A Green Sunfish has the colored margins on the anal, tail and sometimes the anterior part of the dorsal fin. That characteristic carries over to the Hybrid Bluegills too.
Green Sunfish have blue mottling on the gill cover, it's there in varying degrees in Hybrid Bluegills too, but could be almost non-existent.
